Latest Updates from Our Project:

Long Time No Chat!
11 months ago – Thu, May 04, 2023 at 06:47:06 AM

Hey everyone! It's been a while since we wrapped up this project, and I hope you've all enjoyed your hardcover Volume One books. I'm necromancing this campaign's updates for two reasons.

First, because I've launched a Kickstarter for a quick, silly card game featuring axolotls and axes. The game isn't directly CAD-related (this time), but I hope you'll give it a look anyway. Maybe share it with anyone you know who likes card games.

And the second more-on-topic reason is that I wanted to update you on the progress of all the Volume 2s, which I have very much been working on! They are well underway, with Starcaster Vol 2 the furthest along, and Analog and D-Pad close behind. All of the comic remasters have been finished, so now it's just down to the extra art and content that goes into them. I aiming to finish them this summer, and then we can start talking about a Kickstarter to get them made and on your shelves, so your Volume 1s have someone to hang out with!

Thank you guys for your support, and May the 4th Be With You!

I Am Back
about 2 years ago – Fri, Feb 04, 2022 at 09:54:09 PM

Last week books started arriving in the hands of backers. As it would happen, I was away on vacation last week. So suddenly there was a flurry of activity as people started finally getting their books, and I wasn't here to easily respond to it.

I'm back now, and I've caught up on everything. I've confirmed that books are arriving in the US, Canada, UK and Australia areas. The EU books should begin going out any day now. I'm thrilled that you're all finally getting your books and that, based on the comments I'm seeing, you're pleased with the quality of them!

It's been a long road (it was a year ago that I fat-fingered the Kickstarter launch button and started us early) filled with numerous global distribution challenges, but as promised, the books are now arriving. Yay, us!

To address a couple of lingering points- The digital versions of the books will be made available very soon. I was playing around with export settings trying to maximize quality while keeping them within the file size limits I have for distribution. I didn't finish before vacation, but now that books are shipping, it is a priority for me to get that set up.

A handful of you in the US are still waiting on your paper add-ons, and I am on the last handful of package groups for those, so you should have those soon.

If you have an issue with your order in US, Canada, UK or Australia, you'll want to reach out to  [email protected]. I will have a different support email for the EU orders once those start shipping.

Extra books will be offered for sale once I'm certain every last Kickstarter/preorder backer has received theirs.

I'd like to again thank all of you for your support via this project, I hope you are as excited to have a physical copy of these stories in hand as I am, and I look forward to the chance to deliver for you once again when we do the Volume 2 set!

Email Contact For Incorrect Orders
about 2 years ago – Mon, Jan 24, 2022 at 10:17:27 PM

Now that books are starting to go out in places, if you end up with a problem with your order, you'll want to email [email protected] to get it sorted out.

Unless it's a paper add-ons (stickers, bookplates, etc) problem in the US; then you can message me, because I'm sending those out myself.

Another Curveball? At This Point Why Am I Surprised
about 2 years ago – Fri, Jan 14, 2022 at 09:33:08 PM

Last week I was told shipping for North America was to begin mid this week. So I was excited about the update I expected to be posting today. I am no longer excited.

In the interest of transparency I am just going to show you the actual correspondence so that you have exactly all of the information I have at this point.

I now have to give them a few days to try and find this shipment of addons (pins, stickers, bookplates, etc). If they locate them, great, we move on and shipping starts.

If they cannot find them, then we have a problem. I will hold them responsible for misplacing the shipment I sent them, and for paying for the creation of replacements. However remaking those items will add time. Whether I can get them to eat the cost of shipping the books, and then later shipping the add-ons separately remains to be seen, but we'll cross that bridge when we get to it.

Most of the add-ons for US backers are being sent directly from me. All of the flat stuff like bookmarks, stickers, etc. That's a lot of stuff, so fortunately that wasn't lost. I'm almost done sending those out (I'm doing it in package groups-- orders with identical product compositions-- and I only have a few groups left) so if you haven't gotten yours yet, you will soon.

The package that is MIA contained the pin sets for the US, and all of the add-ons for Canada. Those were meant to be put on a truck alongside the books for Canada, and driven north across the border to the fulfillment center there.

I understand that some frustration exists regarding these delays. I promise you, nobody wishes for this project to wrap up more than me. I have been working on these books for three years now, and until the very last book is safely in the hands of backers, I have not earned a penny for my efforts. The Kickstarter funds are set aside to cover any and all expenses required to see this project through to completion. And you have my word, despite any hurdles we may face, or any delays we have to put up with, I will see all of these books delivered.

I will update you again, hopefully within the next few days, when I receive some new information. I have also pressed for updates on the other shipping regions (UK, AU, EU), to find out where those stand.

They Found Them
about 2 years ago – Fri, Jan 14, 2022 at 07:10:16 PM

The add-ons have been located (they were shoved in with customer returns, rather than being processed as stock to be received). Shipment for the US is set to begin tomorrow. Canada, I presume, will be a little behind, as these add-ons now need to be sent north to be included with the books.

They've also confirmed that the add-ons for the UK and AU have arrived and we are waiting on their timeline for shipping to begin. I'll update again when I have dates for that.
